Laureate of State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine, Honored Professor of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, the Excellence in Education of Ukraine badge holder, Head of the chair of complex systems modelling of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, Doctor of Engineering Science, Professor, Academician of the Higher School of Ukraine.

He was awarded the medal "In memory of 1500-anniversary of Kyiv" (1982), the medal of Yaroslav Mudriy of Academy of the Higher School of Ukraine, the Order "For Merit" grade  III (2014), the title of "Best Professor of the Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University", the "Award of Taras Shevchenko" of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko.

He was born in November 16, 1947 in the village Blagodatne, Dolinsky district of Kirovograd region.

Education

1965 - Hurivska school, Dolinsky district (gold medal);
1972 - Faculty of Cybernetics, Kiev State University;
1972 - 1975 years - Postgraduate studies of the Faculty of Cybernetics, Kiev State University.

Scientific degrees, academic titles

1975 - Candidate of Science;
1984 - Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences ;
1985 - Associate Professor of the chair of complex systems modelling;
1986 - Professor of the chair of complex systems modelling;
Since 1999 - Head of the chair of complex systems modelling.

Research areas

  •     qualitative analysis and evaluation of program trajectories in control systems;
  •     development of problems of practical stability of dynamic systems and the development of numerical methods to determine the optimal estimates;
  •     development of methods of structural and parametric undifferentiated trajectory optimization;
  •     solving problems of sensitivity  and calculation of tolerances for parameters;
  •     development of mathematical methods of optimal control of beam trajectories;
  •     development of new mathematical technologies for optimal synthesis of structured dynamical systems;
  •     optimal design of accelerating and focusing systems;
  •     modeling and optimization of control systems for microsatellites targeting;
  •     development of methods of digital processing and pattern recognition;
  •     development of new technologies for data compression;
  •     development of adaptive approaches to the analysis, classification and recognition of voice data and images.

Under the guidance of prof. F. G. Garashchenko there were defended and prepared to defence more than 20 master's and doctoral theses.
